The integration of Alliance Lite2 by BMSoftware enabled OFI Asset Management to exchange its first messages over Swift less than two months after the launch of the project.

OFI Asset Management (AM) - a French investment management company with some 60 billion euros in assets under management - has gone live on Swift. The asset manager opted to use Swift in order to meet its requirements for safety, reliability and resilience, guaranteed delivery, non-repudiation and audit of flows, and standardised communications across all counterparties.

OFI AM was already using a solution from financial messaging integration specialist BMSoftware to communicate with its counterparties through proprietary links. It is now connected to Swift via Alliance Lite2, the secure, cloud-based Swift interface, integrated by BMSoftware.

The establishment of a Swift project can be simple, fast and effective.

— Pascale Gabriel, OFI Asset Management

"The expertise of BMSoftware in terms of the Swift network and the ease of use of the SwiftManager tool enabled us to connect a first depositary to the Swift network in a very short time," says Pascale Gabriel, DSI, OFI AM. "This solution provides complete management of connection settings, flow monitoring or alerts, without the intervention of back office tools. Everything is managed within the tool. The low connection costs and the ease and speed of implementation of the private cloud of the Alliance Lite2 solution led us to this tool," she adds.

"This project combined the efficiency of BMSoftware with the effectiveness of Alliance Lite2. It is proof that the establishment of a Swift project can be simple, fast and effective," Gabriel concludes.
