The tool to submit your attestation and to view your counterparts’ attestations
Submitting your attestation
Every Swift user has to submit an annual Security Attestation via the KYC-Security Attestation application (KYC-SA). Once your attestation is submitted, Swift will validate and publish it.
When your Security Attestation is published, its presence and validity are visible to all KYC-SA users. However, the data contents will not be shared without the owner’s explicit permission time, you can start to attest your level of compliance against the latest baseline.
Sharing principles
The data that will be shared when you give permission, includes, contact information; the type of assessment performed; and the level of compliance with the mandatory and advisory controls.
By sharing data, and checking the compliance status of your counterparties, you can help to foster security awareness and improve security practice within your own organisation and across the industry. The KYC Security Attestation application (KYC-SA) helps to increase community transparency.
Use of the KYC-SA application
It is straightforward to attest. No additional software or hardware is required to access the browser-based KYC-SA application, which uses a two-step verification process. Users may edit and re-submit their data at any time and attestation data must be updated at least every 12 months, dependent on the expiry date of the attestation.
The KYC Security Attestation (KYC-SA) application takes into account the latest CSCF, available from July each year. At this time, you can start to attest your level of compliance against the latest baseline.
Asking counterparties to share
You can send access requests to your counterparties to view their attestation contents via the KYC-Security Attestation application (KYC-SA). They can accept or reject those requests.
Sharing with counterparties
Your counterparties can also send you access requests to view your attestation contents via the KYC-Security Attestation application (KYC-SA). You can accept or reject those requests.
