Preparing for Contingency Measures - ISO 20022 End of Coexistence
Ensure business validation rules are successfully implemented.
For FIN Message Type senders not ready on ISO 20022, you must test the MT to ISO contingency conversion service to avoid payment messages becoming NAK’d after the migration deadline. To support you in testing, Swift will be hosting awareness sessions to review the steps that must be taken to ensure business validation rules are successfully implemented.
With November 22, 2025, cutoff approaching, institutions are seeking deeper guidance on interpreting validation feedback, structuring testing, and remediating non-compliant MT messages.
Agenda
- ISO 20022 adoption and CBPR+ roadmap
- What are the Swift Contingency Measures
- What testing is required for Swift Contingency Measures
- Additional FIN Validation Rules

- How can Swift help
These sessions are tailored for community members who will use contingency planning. It’s not general awareness, it’s targeted, actionable, and designed to help you avoid disruptions.
Additional support
To help you prepare effectively, Swift has designed a focused half-day training session as part of a targeted curriculum. This training aims to deepen your understanding and equip you with practical insights.
Details on how to register will be shared during the upcoming 1-hour awareness session. However, if you're already interested, feel free to express your interest to your Account Manager.
