The challenges

Participate in one or both challenges.

• Business challenge: Who does what in a tokenised world?

How can existing market roles and lifecycle activities be defined and aligned to standards in a tokenised asset environment, while supporting scale and interoperability across institutions?

• Technical challenge: Cracking the control conundrum

How can the industry design reusable, standards-based control functions that work seamlessly across digital-asset platforms, regardless of asset type?

Key dates

• Registration opens: 21 May
• Registration closes: 22 June
• Finalists announced: Late June
• Hackathon build phase: 10 July – 24 July
• Hackathon session at Sibos: 1 October

How it works

• Teams of up to 10 participants register and submit a short proposal
• Teams can participate in one or both challenges
• Up to five teams per challenge are shortlisted
• Shortlisted teams take part in a two‑week hackathon to develop their solution
• Teams submit a presentation, optional demo and supporting materials
• Winners and runners-up present at Sibos 2026 in Miami
