To connect to our API channel, we’ve developed a new generation of API connectivity options: the SWIFT Microgateway and SWIFT Software Development Kit (SDK). Both solutions offer users flexible and cost-effective access to all current and future API services available on SWIFT – whether they be delivered by SWIFT, our community or trusted third-parties.
The SDK contains all the tools customer developer teams need to embed API connectivity into applications. The Microgateway, by contrast, is a fully-fledged software solution for customers to concentrate their API flows from multiple applications based in any programming language, architecture, or server topology.
Both products can be freely downloaded from our Developer Portal.
SWIFT Software Development Kit
The Software Development Kit (SDK) has everything developers need to quickly connect to our API gateway and start experiencing its benefits. With no new on-premises hardware, financial institutions can easily connect using their existing SWIFT security and connectivity footprint.
The SDK delivers APIs that hide much of the lower-level integration logic, including authentication, authorisation, signing and error handling. It also contains a number of value-added services, such as end-to-end testing scenarios, API samples, API payload validation based on ISO 20022 and ready-to-use API use-cases.
The SWIFT Microgateway is a software product that enables you to benefit from the wide range of API-based services now available on SWIFT. Once set up in your environment, you’ll be able to configure, manage and monitor all the API calls you make over SWIFT – no need for separate integration projects or consulting services for every new API service you want to implement.
The Microgateway is fully backwards compatible with the SWIFT gpi Connector offer: Institutions can migrate directly from the gpi Connector to the Microgateway and start benefiting from the range of innovative API products available.
