New Deloitte study highlights the value of Swift connectivity for corporates

Report examines connectivity options and details on the true costs

A new report published by Deloitte Treasury Advisory Services sheds light on the value of direct connectivity to the Swift network for corporate organisations.

The report is based on Swift customer interviews, and provides clear and fact-based guidance on:

  • the benefits of using Swift via a single window
  • the options for connecting to the Swift network
  • the costs of implementation and integration.

Why Swift for Corporates?

The increasingly global nature of business means that companies of all sizes often deal with multiple banking partners spread across the world. Typically, this implies integrating with a variety of bank communication interfaces and channels.

As a result, treasurers and/or credit managers have to deal with significant operational burdens, often done manually, to get an accurate and global view on liquidity and liability across their portfolio.

By implementing Swift, corporates can benefit from a single, highly secure and reliable window to communicate with all their banking partners using global standardised financial messages.

This brings key benefits such as:

  • central visibility of cash positions
  • decreased operational risk and costs
  • increased automation levels
  • integration possibilities to connect to a business’s existing systems.

Connectivity options to suit your needs

No two corporates are the same, with local regulations, differing business needs and corporate structures requiring flexible options for connectivity.

In this report, you can find out more about the four main ways to connect to Swift, with recommendations on what to consider when assessing the options. The options include:

Marc Delbaere, Head of Swift for Corporates, commented: “This report provides valuable insights into the numerous operational efficiencies corporates can gain from connectivity with Swift. It also provides corporates with a true picture of the costs involved and the direct value that they can get from direct integration with the network.”
