What’s coming up?
New functionalities for payments and securities will be made available on the Swift platform through several releases. Release 1 will go live in November 2022 and focus on cross-border payments.
Key initiatives for capital markets
There are a number of engagement groups and pilot projects ongoing with our capital markets community as part of this transformation. Below are some of the key activities ongoing:
Screening securities identifiers (mainly ISINs)
As part of our financial crime compliance portfolio, we are working to implement ISIN transaction and list screening services ahead of the go live planned for 2022.
End-to-end transaction monitoring
We are working with industry participants to define service requirements, including enrichment of Standing Settlement Instructions (SSIs) or exception management and case resolution. We aim to deliver a first iteration of the service by end 2021 in pilot mode.
Real-time view of holdings
Together with the community, we are defining the solution requirements with the aim of kicking off a proof of concept in 2021.
Tokenised assets
We will continue to engage with industry participants to monitor platform requirements to support tokenised assets.
