Alain was appointed Chief Business Development Officer in November 2019, with responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with customers. Previously, Alain was Chief Executive of the Asia-Pacific and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions, and Head of EMEA prior to that. He joined Swift in 1990, following roles at Citibank in Belgium and Fortis Bank in Singapore.
