Communities are often affected by market events, regulations and initiatives in areas such as market practices, standards and compliance. We work closely with national user groups to tailor training programs to the needs of local markets.
Our community training programmes target professionals who either need a focused update on a specific initiative, or are looking to tackle a common issue – whether that issue is compliance with new regulations, the launch of a new market infrastructure, or the adoption of a new standard.
Covering the relevant topic in detail, community training is delivered by subject matter experts in the form of workshop programmes.

Example of community training: transitioning to ISO 20022
The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) needed to adopt a major training programme for its banking community ahead of the kingdom’s migration to ISO 20022.
SWIFT worked closely with the CBJ to develop a customised training programme which would explain the universal messaging framework and its future role in Jordan’s financial market infrastructures. Over 120 participants took part in the resulting training sessions.
The feedback received from course attendees was excellent. Participants showed a remarkable improvement in their understanding of the new ISO standard and the requirements of the main associated projects.
