Alliance Release 7.8 – Renewing technology
Alliance Release 7.8 is mainly focused on technology renewal. Due to the focus on specific technology components, there is no SwiftNet Link 7.8 or Alliance Gateway 7.8, but only Alliance Access/Entry 7.8 and Alliance Web Platform 7.8.
The end-of-support date for release 7.8 is the same as for release 7.7, which will support the community to go from the mandatory release 7.7 required for the SA7 HSM boxes to release 7.9 when it arrives.
Release 7.8 should be considered by the following segments of customers:
- Customers using Connector for ESMIG, as release 7.8 brings an alternative implementation that does not rely on the Integration Platform (IPLA), which will reach end of support mid 2026.
- Customers who need RHEL 9 support
- Customers with a strong internal demand to stop using Java 8
To help you plan for the HSM replacement, you can find more details in the dedicated Swift Smart HSM Management with the Luna SA7 HSM Box curriculum, the HSM Refresh Upgrade Support Page, and in the product documentation on the User Handbook Online.
To help you plan for the end of the CBPR+ migration, you can find more details in the dedicated Swift Smart FINplus, CBPR+ and Multi-Format MX messages in Alliance Access/Entry curriculum, and in the product documentation on the User Handbook Online.
