Brussels, 29 June 2017 – SWIFT announces today that SWIFTSmart, SWIFT’s eLearning platform, is growing at a rapid rate and will now offer training modules in 10 different languages, including English, German, French, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Chinese.

Live since November 2016, SWIFTSmart is an interactive, cloud-based educational service that provides SWIFT customers with a training solution adapted to today’s training challenges. From large global communities to smaller niche players, training content needs to be disseminated across the globe in a universal, effective, efficient and flexible way, and with minimal disruption to day-to-day business activities. As a cloud-based service, SWIFTSmart is accessible anytime, anywhere and from any device, allowing customers to get introduced to SWIFT, grow their existing knowledge or get the latest information on key industry topics like security and compliance.

Today, over 12,000 users representing more than 4,000 financial institutions globally are using SWIFTSmart. With its user base on the rise, SWIFT is regularly adding new learning modules in various languages as well as improving the platform’s features. In 2017, SWIFT will publish 80 new learning modules covering topics like corporate actions, ISO 20022 adoption, cyber-security and real-time payments innovation. In parallel, SWIFTSmart users will also experience an updated version of the platform, which will include a set of new social and interactive features, such as a customisable homepage, group discussions with colleagues, ratings of courses and influence on the catalogue. SWIFTSmart version 2.0 will be available as of July 2017.

“SWIFTSmart is the cornerstone of SWIFT’s entire training portfolio and can be complemented with tailored trainings or certification programmes,” says Dana Brants, Head of Services Marketing, SWIFT.  “eLearning is about getting the most qualitative and accurate learning material in the hands of our community, in an attractive and interactive way.
