ARC is an annual event bringing together the financial community from almost 50 countries across the African continent. Delegates will discuss the most important trends affecting Africa’s economic development and the role played by the financial sector in supporting growth.

The theme of this year’s African Regional Conference is ‘Financing for the future’. The opening plenary will look at how African countries can diversify their economies to help drive growth. Other sessions at the conference will focus on:

  • Fighting cybercrime – an industry approach
  • Financial crime compliance and the challenge of de-risking in the region
  • The role of FinTech in the future of the financial industry
  • The changing shape of correspondent banking
  • Convergence in Africa’s securities markets

For the third year, ARC will partner with Swift Innotribe for the Startup Challenge in Africa, showcasing young African companies and offering the winners the opportunity to pitch their business on a global stage at Sibos in Toronto, Canada.

ARC 2017 will take place in Abidjan on 16-18 May 2017. For the full agenda, please see here.
