Stuart Warner is the Head of Direct Custody and Clearing Product for Europe, MENAT and Americas for Securities Services, based in London. Stuart is responsible for leading the development of the direct custody and clearing service offering across 20 markets.

Stuart joined HSBC in 2009 and moved to Securities Services in 2017 from Global Markets where he was Global Head of Asset Servicing and Tax Operations, supporting HSBC’s broker-dealer business. Prior to this, Stuart held roles in operations at Citi, Deutsche Bank and Chase Manhattan. Stuart has 20+ years’ experience, focussed on securities and asset servicing where he has led large teams in delivering both ‘run the bank’ operational services and ‘change the bank’ strategic platform programmes.

Stuart is a member of the ISSA working group for ISO20022, reviewing the industry position and opportunities for deployment of the new standards for exchanging data in a structured and automated manner.
