Tony is a pioneer who thrives in complex, ground-breaking & uncertain environments; bringing proven judgement and decision making experience. Tony has founded, co-founded, sold and listed many businesses but remains passionate about new ways of creating value which have the capability of scaling fast, are at an early stage and creates value for many people. He brings professional working knowledge and experience of raising funding as a founder, adviser and investor, including being a General Partner of a fund. In 1999, 2007 and 2019 took yearlong sabbaticals to read and think. He is just back with a new thinking having read 52 books all published in the past year on central theme of using data to create trusted outcomes and sense making in a complex world. His reading crossed the future of capital(ism), cognition, intelligence, governance, AI, ethics and bias. Tony has a track record of sense making, foresight and strategy, his enthusiasm and drive are contagious & inspiring. His professional life has cut across a diverse range of sectors including venture capital, health, finance, digital fabrication, media, mobile, sport and education. Tony has a current focus is on rethinking governance models, data economics, AI, ethics, bias and dealing with volatile situations. He is Chairperson of the Data Ethics and Privacy reporting committee for VOLT bank. In addition to speaking at over 300 events and conferences on data, innovation, entrepreneurship, digital trends and early stage growth, he has authored and published three books. He is a visiting Fellow at Henley Business School for entrepreneurship and innovation, EIR at Bradford School of Management, teaches at London Business School and the London School of Economics in AI and Ethics and is an EC expert for Big Data.
