Chief of the Green Economy, Technologies and Innovation Section, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa

Kasirim Nwuke is Chief of the Green Economy, Technologies and Innovation Section at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA). At ECA, he leads the work on the application of technology and innovation to expand the frontiers of development to create a prosperous, green African future. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University, Boston, MA, USA. Before joining ECA, Mr. Nwuke was a Research Associate at Harvard University School of Public Health, a Research Fellow at the African Studies Center, Boston University and an Associate at TAG Associates, Norwood, MA. In 2005, he served as Special Advisor to the Nigerian Minister of Finance. He has taught at a number of higher education institutions in the USA, written a number of scholarly papers and policy reports and spoken at a large number of technical conferences, meetings and workshops. He and his team are the winners of the ECA@60 Innovation Award.
