Marc De Rycke is the Strategic Participation Integration and Value Creation Lead, reporting to CFO Nils Jean-Mairet and serving on the Group Leadership Council. Additionally, Marc has been a board member of SWIFT since September 2021.

He joined Euroclear in April 1992 as an accountant in the Financial Division. Over time, he transitioned from finance roles to IT roles, initially for financial functions and later for other areas. Marc has held various leadership positions in the IT organization, including deputy CIO of the Euroclear group.

Since 2003, Marc has spearheaded and contributed to numerous transformation initiatives at Euroclear. He has developed strategic relationships with IT partners, created and implemented outsourcing and offshore strategies, and facilitated the transition of the delivery process from traditional waterfall to agile methodologies.

In IT, Marc has led many business transformations, including the implementation of real-time settlement, CSDR implementation, improving the resilience posture of the Euroclear group, and the set-up of the Irish CSD.

Effective March 2024, Marc has been appointed as the Strategic Participation Integration and Value Creation Lead. This newly established role within Euroclear encompasses the following responsibilities:

• Overseeing the portfolio of acquisitions and investments and providing recommendations to the Euroclear Group Executive Committee.
• Initiating measures to maximize the value of our investments.
• Developing and enhancing our post-acquisition capabilities.
