Melissa Tuozzolo is the Head of FI Payments Market Management and Industry Initiatives in Citi’s Treasury and Trade Services organization. In this role, Melissa manages a team focused on global market management, strategic transformation and the execution of key industry initiatives for the FI payments product. Melissa has over ten years’ experience in the Payments industry. She started her career in Citi’s Global Transaction Services analyst program, where she worked across strategy, product development and client management. She then joined the Global Payments team as a Vice President where she held roles in International Payments and Payments Innovation. In these positions, she led core product management along with development and architecture efforts for new payment products. She then joined HSBC’s International Payments Product team. In this capacity, she managed a suite of payments products for HSBC’s North America region including Clearing, Foreign Currency Payments and Global Disbursements. Prior to rejoining Citi in 2017, she was the Director of Direct Banking at Amalgamated Bank, tasked with developing a digital consumer bank proposition and leading engagements with FinTech partnerships. Melissa holds a BA in East Asian Studies with Concentrations in Economics and China from Columbia University
