SWIFT Business Forum Philippines 2016

Trailblazing ASEAN with Inclusion, Modernisation, and Internationalisation

Welcome to the SWIFT Business Forum Philippines 2016

2016 marks a significant milestone for the financial services community in the Philippines.  In forging towards the 2025 ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) blueprint, and reaping the economic integration benefits that come along with it, the Philippines has ambitious plans ahead. The country wants to increase competitiveness by improving capacity, upgrading infrastructure, and bolstering economic growth, all of which are key factors to providing the nation with a stable foundation for its financial services.  The economy is expected to grow at 6%, led by strong growth in domestic consumption and purchasing parity.

The SWIFT Business Forum Philippines will gather the local community representing financial institutions, market infrastructures, regulators, multinational corporations, and other industry experts to discuss pertinent issues concerning the nation and whether it can deepen its reforms and continue its impressive growth trajectory in the face of global economic volatility.

This year’s agenda will focus on the latest developments on market infrastructure trends in payments and securities, compliance and risk, financial inclusion, as well as digitisation.

We are confident that this Business Forum will offer our community an invaluable opportunity to share and collaborate on our ideas in fostering a more vibrant financial community in Philippines and the ASEAN region.

I look forward to meeting you all in April.
