Swift public cloud deployment

Whether a young FinTech or a more established bank, financial institutions have begun making their move into the public cloud. For ‘cloud-native’ institutions that have never had data centres, this seems an obvious choice – an agile and cost-effective set up that doesn’t require hardware installation or maintenance. This, combined with high reliability and robust security, is why we think cloud has a central role to play in our industry and beyond.

That’s why we’ve teamed up with Microsoft, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud to make it possible for our community to move their Swift applications and connectivity solutions into the public cloud.

Customers can now host almost all of their Swift software and applications in the public cloud – from Alliance Access and Alliance Messaging Hub, right through to SwiftNet Link, Alliance Gateway, and beyond. 

We’ve also developed Alliance Connect Virtual – a new network connectivity solution that enables you to deploy your Swift VPNs virtually instead of hosting the hardware in your data centres.

And, we haven’t forgotten about compliance. Public cloud deployment is compliant with Swift Customer Security Programme and your cloud provider will be able to support you in your security controls attestation.
