Niklas Lemberg is a senior payments professional with more than three decades of experience in the Swift community and the broader payments ecosystem. He leads market infrastructure engagement at Nordea Bank Plc, primarily covering Swift and EBA CLEARING, and has extensive knowledge of the roles played by banks and market infrastructures.

Niklas also serves as Chair of Finland’s Financial Pool under the National Emergency Supply Agency, with responsibility for preparedness and resilience. Previously, he held senior payments leadership roles at Finnish banks, including Director of Payments in Transaction Banking and Head of Euro Payments at Nordea.

Niklas has contributed extensively to industry governance through the Finnish Swift National User and Member Groups, serving as Chair of both. For approximately a decade, he has also worked with the EMEA Swift Alliance Group, representing nearly 30 Swift communities. He previously served on Swift’s Board of Directors for more than four years.
