Easing customer deployment in the public cloud
Banks, corporates and fintechs are increasingly turning to cloud-based services to reduce total cost of ownership, improve agility and automation, as well as streamline security and compliance.
Embracing this trend, SWIFT has launched its digital connectivity initiative to develop solutions that allow customers to deploy SWIFT infrastructure and connectivity components in ‘hyper-scale’ public cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services.
As part of this initiative, SWIFT is currently developing Alliance Connect Virtual, which includes a virtual VPN deployed in the public cloud. In parallel, SWIFT is consulting with its various councils and governing committees to get the approval necessary to deploy this offering in production. As such, the expected timeline for the general availability of this solution has yet to be confirmed.
