Maria was appointed Chief Financial Officer in May 2026. In this role, she oversees the company’s financial strategy, planning, and core financial operations, including accounting, treasury, and procurement.

Prior to this, Maria served as Finance Director, where she led Financial Planning and Analysis as well as Pricing. She was responsible for driving the company’s budget and investment allocation, supporting sustainable revenue, and enabling the execution of the company’s strategy.

Maria joined Swift in 2004 as a graduate and has built her career within the organization, holding a variety of finance and business roles in Belgium and the United States. She holds a M. Sc. in Business Engineering and a DEA (M. Res.) in Management from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (ULB).
