If you are responsible for configuring and maintaining your Alliance Access system, then this hands-on course will help you get the most out of your interface. The course material has been completely revamped and is fully in line with Alliance Access release 7.0. It now includes the new features and functionalities of Alliance Access 7.0, such as the new monitoring tool to supervise and control the different Alliance Access elements. This is the perfect course for new and experienced Alliance Access supervisors who will be managing Alliance Access 7.0.

Audience

This course is for all Alliance Access interface administrators, IT staff and managers and back-office managers.

You will learn how to

  • Set-up and run the Alliance Access interface
  • Manage your interface efficiently by going through the general house-keeping requirements
  • Connect to external or back-office applications
  • Use your Alliance Access interface by listening to the instructor and by doing practical exercises
  • Use the new monitoring tool to supervise and control the different Alliance Access elements

Course content

  • Updates: installation of patches, message syntax tables and BIC files
  • User Management and Security Parameters: profiles, users, passwords and security parameters
  • Alliance Gateway Connectivity: configuring Alliance Gateway connections, configuring Logical Terminals connections as well as emission and reception profiles
  • Message Partners: connectivity of Alliance Access with external applications and printers
  • Routing: defining routing rules in Alliance Access
  • Message Searching and Reporting: using advanced searching functions and reporting
  • Archive and back-up procedures
  • Scheduling and Calendar
  • System Parameters and Event Log: how to change parameters and how to activate or de-activate alarms
  • Using the Monitoring GUI: supervising the new monitoring elements which are only available through Alliance Web Platform as well as using the new multi-instance monitoring tool

Prior knowledge

It is recommended that you first attend the course Operating Alliance Access and Entry.

The course duration depends on the learning channel you choose:

  • Classroom course: 2 days
  • On-site training: as per your requirements
