User Handbook extended access in 2009
User Handbook available to everyone with a standard swift.com account
Published on 27 November 2008
During 2008, SWIFT improved the User Handbook to become the single repository for SWIFT user documentation. All user documentation is now available in a simplified framework, supported by improved tools. The User Handbook now includes service and solution descriptions, and implementation and user guides for all products and solutions. It also includes more Standards-related information, such as smart test messages and translation guides.
As from 1 January 2009, SWIFT will further improve the User Handbook as follows:
- Access to the User Handbook online - significantly simplified
Everyone with a standard swift.com account will have access to the whole User Handbook without additional ordering or administration.
For this unlimited User Handbook online access, SWIFT charges an annual access fee of 750 USD per SWIFT user organisation. For global institutions with more than 50 user organisations, this fee is capped to 50 User Handbook online annual access fees.
There is no annual access fee for registered vendors, Alliance Lite, and Kits customers because their online access to the User Handbook is already covered by their yearly or monthly fee.
What do you need to do? Nothing. All the existing User Handbook licences are upgraded to unlimited online access on 31 December 2008 and SWIFT will automatically apply this new scheme.
- New optional licence - User Handbook DVD with downloadable updates
SWIFT will charge 3,000 USD per year for this new, optional licence. You can order this licence separately through the SWIFT ordering service on www.swift.com (after 15 December 2008).
Subscribers of National or International licences that still want to receive the DVD and use the update service must subscribe to this new DVD licence.
More details will be communicated in the next edition of the
User Handbook newsletter.
