Changes to swift.com

Improved search facilities and other enhancements

Published on 29 Dec 2008
In June 2008, we welcomed you to a new swift.com. In our efforts to become more customer centric, we are further enhancing your swift.com based upon your feedback. We therefore introduced the following changes, which we hope you will appreciate.

More accurate search results

The search engine has been improved to provide you with more accurate results and glossary definitions.
When you search for multiple keywords, the sytem will now only return the pages that match all of the terms you entered. If however you want the search to return all pages that contain one of the selected keywords, you can deselect the 'Match all terms' option.

Did you know?
In order to have complete search results including the User Handbook online and the Knowledge Base, you must login to swift.com? The 'Customer login' button is now more visible on the results page. You can always narrow your search by using the filters in the right panel of the results page.

New operational status notification

You can now subscribe, free of charge, to a new type of operational status notification: Alliance Lite service interruption. Subscribing allows you to get automatic updates by e-mail of any interruption or incident on Alliance Lite.
The newsletter and mailing registration page where you can subsribe for the operational status notifications has been reviewed and now provides clearer labelling of every section.

Enhancements to Manage your profile

Manage your profile is an important application that allows you to keep your contact details up-to-date. It is the first application that has been aligned with the new look and feel of swift.com, other applications will follow in future releases.
Besides this layout change, the folllowing improvements have been implemented:
  • Display of the parent BIC: if you are registered with a BIC that belongs to a hierarchy, then you can now see your parent BIC in the Hierarchy section of your company profile
  • Improved sort and filter functions.
  • Access now possible for non-live BICs.

A new tool that allows an easy download of your e-learning activation keys

Whenever you subscribe to one or more SWIFT eTraining products and you select to be charged on your SWIFT account, your new subscription is added to a new page on swift.com: Your SWIFT eTraining subscriptions and Activation Keys.
The tool also lists subscriptions ordered by your colleagues, which gives everyone in your organisation a full view on all eTraining topics licensed to your institution.

Use this application as well to consult activation keys and share them with your colleagues. Each time one of your existing keys expires, the training software automatically directs you to this location to retrieve a renewed key.

A new role in your swift.com profile to consult your training history

As of now, it is possible for your training coordinator to consult your institution's SWIFT training history on swift.com. This new functionality allows you to access the records of all staff within your institution who have attended SWIFT classroom training since 1997. You can perform several queries and save reports locally on your PC. To access this new feature, training coordinators must update their swift.com profile with the role 'Training Manager', and get approval from their swift.com administrator.
