You must first be a registered user for the online services on www.swift.com. If you are not yet registered, click here. A swift.com administrator in your institution must approve your registration request before you can use the online services. By default, you will receive access to Support.
Remark: If you are a new SWIFTNet Security Officer, then make sure that you register as main or additional SWIFTNet Security Officer through Online Ordering.
Once you are registered, you need to configure specific settings in your swift.com profile. To do so, log in to Manage your profile on swift.com, then follow these steps:
SWIFTNet (PKI) Security Officer
- In the Manage your profile section, click User Profile .
- Click Modify this profile .
- In the Granted Services section, click Request to modify and activate the Secure channel free service. This must be approved by your swift.com administrator.
- Once this is approved, SWIFT updates your settings and generates a Secure Code Card which you will receive by post.
Alliance Security Officer
- In the Manage your profile section, click User Profile .
- Click Search Users to find out who is your swift.com administrator.
- Ask the swift.com administrator to activate the role "Is SWIFTAlliance LSO" or "Is SWIFTAlliance RSO" (or both) in your profile.
- Once your role is activated, you can view the licence keys from your institution's contracts.
This section only applies to SWIFTNet (PKI) Security Officers.
Once your profile is configured as described in step 2, SWIFT generates a Secure Code Card for you. You will receive this printed paper card by post.
The card is strictly personal and cannot be transferred to another Security Officer. It is used to authenticate each security request performed through the Secure channel application.
Activate your card as soon as you receive it. Activation of the card is done through the Secure channel application.
