Collateral management

The collateral management process is initiated every time a new exposure is created or when a new trade relationship is established. Collateral messages are exchanged between clearing systems, financial institutions, investors, fund managers, custodians, local authorities, corporates, third party service providers and exchanges. Standard messages cover the flows associated with collateral exposures, instructions and movements.

Standard MT messages are available for both bilateral and triparty collateral management.
