January 2009 update

The Release timeline provides planning information on the solutions and products that are part of the SWIFT portfolio. This update contains a number of new products and releases as well as a number of updates to the previous edition of September 2008. Below the highlights of the changes (clearly marked in the timeline with a star).

New products

• Alliance Connect Bronze, Silver and Gold are the new network connectivity products that will replace Dial-up, Dual-I, Single-P and Dual-P. New orders will be accepted as of 01 April 2009.

New releases of existing products

• Release 7.0 of SWIFTNet and Alliance will lower total cost of ownership, ease operation and provide a number of new features. This release is tentatively announced for June 2010 (Production) and September 2010 (General Distribution).
• Releases 2.4 and 2.5 of SCORE will include bank to corporate account reporting, bank account mandates, new FIN implementation rules and remove usage of MT103 / 950. These releases are planned for July and November 2009.
• Standards Release 2009 has been reduced in scope and changes are mainly limited to the payments messages. Planned for November 2009.
• Release 5.0 of Cash reporting will bring 3 reservation messages for the usage of CSDs, an enhanced version of BTC report and a query message. This release is planned for November 2009.
