Alliance Messenger allows operators to create and further manage both Standards (MT and MX) messages from the Internet Explorer browser available on their desktop.
The message management functionality provided by Alliance Messenger comprises:
- creation, modification, verification, authorisation, display and printing of messages
- message search capability
- print reports of messages
- manual input and output of message files
Alliance Messenger relies on an application server for central deployment. It can either be installed on top of an existing application server or it can include the installation of an embedded application server.
Central deployment reduces your Total Cost of OwnershipAlliance Messenger contributes to lower your Total Cost of Ownership, as it greatly eases the end-user deployment effort for message related activity.
The thin-client design enables centralised deployment for both software and message standards changes. On the end-user desktop, no installation of SWIFT software is required; the standard Internet Explorer is all you need.
User friendlyAs a web application, Alliance Messenger uses standard techniques for presenting information within Internet Explorer. A consistent approach to design and behaviour allows operators to quickly become familiar with navigating through the application.
The functionality available on the Alliance Workstation for MT message related tasks is available on Alliance Messenger and follows the same presentation logic. This provides an easy transition from Alliance Workstation to Alliance Messenger for operators who are already familiar with handling messages on Alliance Access or Entry.
Flexible installationAlliance Messenger exists in two different versions:
- Alliance Messenger: High Performance and resiliency configuration. This version supports deployment on IBM WAS Network Deployment, configured in a cluster and providing robust operational capacity such as load balancing and resilience mechanisms. Standard protocols secure communication links amongst the various components.
Alliance Messenger is available on Alliance Access only.
- Alliance Messenger Server-Embedded: Easy to install. This version provides an embedded application server and makes the installation and configuration of the application server fully transparent to the administrator.
This option greatly facilitates the installation and use of Alliance Messenger for institutions that do not have an application server or do not have expertise in such technology. The end-user functionality is identical compared to Alliance Messenger.
Alliance Messenger Server-Embedded is available on both Alliance Access and Alliance Entry.
