| Member Administered Closed User Groups (MA-CUGs) enable members to provide financial services to their customers over SWIFTNet. MA-CUGs can be used across markets - payments, cash management, treasury, derivatives, trade services and securities – and use proprietary or domestic formats, or SWIFT standards. A variety of customers can be serviced in MA-CUGs, including corporates, insurance companies, and securities players. What these all have in common is that they value secure, cost-effective and standardised messaging services from their financial service provider. ProvidersAs service providers, members can re-use their existing SWIFT messaging and security infrastructure with their customers, instead of developing and supporting proprietary platforms. This allows members to concentrate on providing financial services using either proprietary formats or SWIFT standards for increased STP. And with SWIFT’s global network, customers can be serviced worldwide. UsersAs a user, you benefit from all the security, standards and quality of service that SWIFT is renowned for. And with its worldwide reach, SWIFTNet provides access to a global community of financial service providers. Using SWIFT standards, you increase automation, reduce risk and lower your processing costs. All this is available by re-using a single infrastructure and connection to SWIFT.
