It's the only place where the financial industry really gets together
Sibos 2009 post-event survey

Perhaps a participant at Sibos 2009 said it best: “Sibos is a must.”
Sibos is now firmly established as an unmissable event and that’s because it continues to deliver unique value. It is the only event that brings the entire financial community together in person and that has a direct influence on your business success.
With this in mind, SWIFT is delighted to announce that it has opened registration for Sibos 2010, which will take place in Amsterdam from 25-29 October.
Work is already well underway to bring you a compelling, thought-provoking conference programme, a dynamic, business-focused exhibition, and a wealth of opportunities for interaction, dialogue and collaboration.
Conference big themes
Sibos 2010 will centre on three big themes: regulation, rebuilding trust and recovery.
Under the first theme, we’ll discuss the industry’s collective response to regulation following the financial crisis. We’ll examine the operational impact of financial reform. And we’ll consider how we should engage with regulators more effectively.
The second theme, rebuilding trust, is about how the industry goes about regaining the confidence of its customers and the public at large. It’s about the inevitable conflict between reducing risk and reducing costs. We’ll be considering, for example, whether we should change the measure of success beyond profits and share price. We’re also hoping to showcase some pragmatic, actionable CSR ideas for the financial industry.
The last theme is recovery. We’ll discuss what financial services players can do to be ready to capitalise on it. Can we “innovate our way out of this” as Steve Jobs once said? How do we best leverage technology? And we’ll examine the uncertainty that prevails in the marketplace: Where to compete? Where to collaborate?
Exhibition nearly sold-out
In addition to the conference, Sibos is also the place to meet the best solutions providers in the financial services industry. 168 companies have already signed-up to be part of the exhibition – which is now 95% sold out.
