Equens previews Sibos 2010
EQ Magazine talks to SWIFT’s CEO about preparations for this year’s event

Equens, a pan-European payments processor and Sibos exhibitor, has published a preview of Sibos 2010 in the first edition of its magazine EQ Magazine, including an interview with SWIFT’s CEO Lázaro Campos that includes his perspective on the organisation and preparation required for such an important and global event.
As Campos himself says, Sibos “is on a different level in terms of attracting people”. He goes on to say that “[SWIFT] knows from experience that the more specific a session is – the more relevant it is – the more interesting it becomes”. For this reason, this year’s main themes will be those of regulation, rebuilding trust and recovery. The impact of the financial crisis and the regulation that ensued to ensure a prompt revival of the world’s economy, competition versus collaboration, and the possibilities of minimising risk and cost simultaneously will be discussed in relevance to the twelve different conference streams at Sibos. The conference alone makes Sibos an excellent investment for professionals from every aspect of the finance business.
