In a nutshell, Innotribe.com aims to create an environment for innovative efforts to flourish. “We plan to expand it with more social networking functions to build a broad industry forum,” says Kosta Peric, head of innovation, SWIFT.
Mass collaboration
Innotribe at Sibos offers a programme of presentations, face-to-face discussions, interactive SibosLab workshops, and special challenges all aimed at advancing collaborative innovation. At the end of the week, the winner of the Sibos 2009 Innovation Award will be announced. Beyond the scheduled events the Innotribe floor, next to the SWIFT stand, will provide a venue for continuous activity.

While competition in the financial services industry can be fierce, banks have long found ways of working together on areas of shared interest, says Mary Knox, research director, Gartner. “Just look at SWIFT,” she says.
While SibosLabs are an integral part of Innotribe at Sibos, workshops will be taking place on other topics throughout the week, including greening Sibos, SWIFT 2015, standards coexistence and the evolving role of the chairperson in the SWIFT community.
