This year’s Sibos conference programme has been designed for an increasingly diverse audience. In addition to a broad-range of subjects affecting everyone, there are a series of topics that address different issues and specific market sectors. Once again, there will be dedicated streams for Corporates, Fund & Investment Managers and Standards experts, with a special Tuesday stream on Russia and the CIS countries, facilitated by simultaneous translation. In addition to the main conference and SWIFT specific sessions, meetings organised by third parties will also be taking place throughout the week. Small group focused discussions, sharing of experiences, and discovery of possibilities, This is networking by sharing ideas, not just business cards. Join a collaborative and creative small group session. Experience a new way to network at Sibos. Corporate Social Responsibility day – New! This year at Sibos, we are introducing a new focus on Corporate Social Responsibility. What does sustainable development mean for the financial institutions and what are their responsibilities? What are the challenges and opportunities for the financial industry? How can SWIFT support the business opportunities? Is there room for cooperation or does this represent a competitive advantage?

Last year at Sibos Nicholas Negroponte from MIT introduced the One Laptop per Child project at the Corporate Social Responsibility Breakfast. His presentation triggered a lot of enthusiasm and emotion in the industry. SWIFT community decided to financially support the initiative whose mission is to provide each child in poorer areas and countries with a laptop. OLPC will be present this year at Sibos, in the Registration area, from Tuesday to Friday. They will give demos of the new laptop and provide the latest status on the project, as well information on how to pursue support on donations. Come and visit them!
Special sessionsMonday 15 – Tuesday 16 September For the second year running, the Sibos Forum for Corporates , a dedicated two-day event, brings together corporates, the financial community and vendors to explore the corporate-to-bank space. Tuesday 16 September A dedicated programme on Russia and the CIS countries. Wednesday 17 – Thursday 18 September The Fund and Investment Managers Forum will again deliver an unparalleled combination of conference sessions and networking opportunities for investment managers and their counterparties. Throughout the week The Standards Forum @ Sibos reaches out to Sibos delegates to provide a 'centre of expertise' on standards for all market segments. Through targeted customer work sessions, expert chats and presentations, the Standards Forum bridges the gap between business and standardisation from the economic, practical and technical perspectives for the expert and not-so-expert delegate. Wednesday 17 September Following last year’s highly successful event, Sibos will feature a dedicated breakfast meeting on the theme of corporate social responsibility. Top of page
