Overview

SWIFTNet Link is SWIFT's mandatory software product for users of SWIFTNet. SWIFTNet Link ensures technical interoperability between users by providing the minimal functionality required to communicate over these services.

How will SWIFTNet Link benefit you?

SWIFTNet Link is available under licence to vendors and customers for integration with vendor-supplied or customer-developed applications. It is embedded in Alliance Gateway and Alliance WebStation.

SWIFTNet Link ensures re-usability of the customer access infrastructure to SWIFTNet by offering a consistent single window access.

Its functionality includes transport, formatting, security and service management.

SWIFTNet Link provides a set of XML-based Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) which allows:

• a customer application to access SWIFTNet
• a local application to communicate with a remote application
• local and remote applications to establish end-to-end integrity, authentication and confidentiality
• local and remote applications to retrieve the current date and time from SWIFT's trusted time service
• local and remote applications to communicate securely using SWIFTNet PKI
• local and remote applications to support features such as load balancing, which are specifically designed for high-availability and high-throughput environments.
