Alliance WebStation is a browser-based interface to access FileAct and Browse based Solutions as well as Market Infrastructures.
Through Alliance WebStation, you will gain access to a range of SWIFT solutions that cater to the needs of the payments, treasury, trade and securities markets.
As of SWIFTNet 7.0, Alliance Web Platform became the default GUI framework to manage Alliance interfaces and to access Browse services. At the same time, Alliance WebStation entered in a maintenance mode meaning that SWIFT will continue to support it but no additional functionality will be added. As Alliance WebStation may still be required in specific cases, no end-of-support date has been announced yet.
Alliance WebStation has the following mandatory release: WebStation 7.0
Alliance WebStation enables you to access and use different SWIFTNet services in an integrated manner. Once you have logged on, you can switch between different services with a simple mouse click.
Web-style graphical features make the system easy to learn and operate. Alliance WebStation also requires minimal technical knowledge and administration because it typically involves nominal local data storage and therefore requires limited or no backups.
Browser-based solutions use the standard web protocol - https - and allow reuse of existing web servers. Browse solutions require no service-specific client software.
You can connect the Alliance WebStation directly to SWIFTNet, or indirectly by connecting through an Alliance Gateway. Concentrating traffic through Alliance Gateway allows optimal integration of Alliance WebStations into a larger customer environment, while preserving IP security policies.
Using an Alliance WebStation with direct connection to SWIFTNet offers unique security within the Alliance range of interfaces by using hardware security tokens.
