Network connectivity is one of the elements to consider when connecting to SWIFT. Your traffic requirements will often indicate the best suited product, but there are also other factors to take into consideration:
Alliance Connect Silver is the network connectivity option for our medium volume customers. It addresses the needs of customers requiring the strong reliability of a managed and guaranteed line, with a cost effective Internet connection.
Alliance Connect Silver offers connectivity to SWIFTNet through one leased line or DSL connection and the Internet as the other channel. The leased line or DSL connection is provided and managed by one of our four Network Partners.
Alliance Connect Silver is positioned to replace the dual-I connectivity pack.
If you want to upgrade from dual-I to Alliance Connect Silver, see the Alliance Connect Interactive Upgrade Guide.
You can decide which access method to use as prime and back-up depending on your traffic pattern.
SWIFT Network Partners use state-of-the-art security ensuring highest resilience and lowest risk.
The dedicated access lines provide guaranteed bandwidths to SWIFTNet.
The Alliance Connect Silver configuration protects against a failure of the Network Partner’s router, leased line (or DSL) or the VPN box, as it features automatic failover to the Internet back-up channel.
Using a local internet connection for the back-up channel reduces your total network connectivity cost significantly. SWIFT does not charge any additional fee for this back-up link.
You have the flexibility to increase the bandwidth or to move from DSL to leased line technology depending on your needs.
