In our continued efforts to simplify the joining process for new customers, the SWIFT Undertaking form has been completely revamped. The new form combines the traditional Undertaking form with Security information and SWIFTNet FIN registration. From now on, one single form allows new customers to join SWIFT, register SWIFTNet Security Officers, and subscribe to SWIFTNet FIN.
Similarly, the Member/Concentrator Undertaking form, which has undergone the same type of improvements, now also includes a section to subscribe to Member-Administered Closed User Groups (MA-CUGs).
On both forms, we have changed the way questions are presented. Instead of being displayed all at once, relevant questions are now presented progressively as you answer them.
These enhancements aim to help customers join SWIFT as only one single form is needed to go live via a shared connection on SWIFT. Furthermore, they support our goal in moving towards weekly activation.

enter contact information when selecting a Member-Administered Closed User Group (MA-CUG). This will speed up the approval process because it proves a business relationship was established prior to subscribing to the MA-CUG.
Updated form to order new directory
In April 2009, SWIFT will publish a new directory on behalf of EBA CLEARING. The EURO1/STEP1 Directory lists the BICs of the EURO1 and STEP1 Participants and Sub-participants. It also contains the banks that can be reached by means of EURO1/STEP1 through the EURO1/STEP1 Participants that act as correspondent banks. To order this directory, a new field 'EURO1/STEP1' has been added to the existing order form.
