Change Additional SWIFTNet Security Officers Registration

When you replace an Additional SWIFTNet Security Officer that had online certificate Administration roles, the remaining Security Officers must revoke/disable the former Security Officer, and they must register the replacing Security Officer online, by means of the Local Registration Authority (LRA) module. A representative of your human resources department or a public officer (for example, a notary) must confirm the identity of the new Additional Security Officer on the printed form.

For information on the Security Officer's role in the management of certificates, see the SWIFTNet Certificate Administration Guide and the SWIFTNet Service Description.

The submission includes the following steps:
  • Step 1: The person that will register as new Additional Security Officer must first register for online services on www.swift.com and then receive access to the free service “Secure Channel” (to be approved by your swift.com administrator)
  • Step 2:: Complete and print the Change Additional SWIFTNet Security Officer form
  • Step 3: Complete the printed form with the following required information:
    • signatures;
    • Human Resources stamp;
    • identity document.
  • Step 4:: Send the original via express courier service to S.W.I.F.T. SCRL, Customer Security Management, Avenue Adèle 1, 1310 La Hulpe, Belgium.

If registration is valid then the new Additional Security Officer will receive a Secure Code Card. With this card he/she will be able to submit SWIFTNet offline interventions via the Secure Channel application. If the former/obsolete Security Officer has a Secure Code Card, SWIFT will revoke the card. In addition SWIFT will also send an e-mail to the already registered main Security Officers mentioning the identity of the new Additional Security Officer.
