Registering for direct debit — Step 3 of 3

If you currently do not have a EUR account either in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg or Spain, please contact SWIFT Treasury Department by email at Treasury.Generic@swift.com or by phone on +32 2 655 3567 with the name of the bank and country where this account is held. SWIFT Treasury will check for you if you can register for International Drawdown using this account.
  1. If they confirm that this account can be used:
    • Download and complete the EUR Drawdown form
    • 1) Ensure duly authorised persons in your institution sign the form.
      2) Send the signed form to your correspondent bank for their update and approval.
      3) Your correspondent bank will have additional documents for you to complete and authorise before they will send back the SWIFT authorisation form.
      4) When you receive the form back, please check it has been signed by your bank and then send it to:

      and a copy by fax to +32 2 655 4106

  2. If your account cannot be used, you have two options:
    • Option 1: Open an account in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg or Spain and register for direct debit.
    • Option 2: Subscribe to our International drawdown service by opening a EUR account with one of the banks participating in this service. Please contact SWIFT Treasury by email at Treasury.Generic@swift.com or by phone on +32 2 655 3567 to identify a suitable participating bank.
      When the account is open, please follow procedure described above.
