We recently produced a Collective Trade Snapshot Report in order to assist banks in analysing the current crisis on the basis of the actual SWIFT Trade traffic evolution over the last year.
The report was produced at the collective request of SWIFT's Trade Services Advisory Group (TSAG) on collective data retrieved between December 2008 and September 2009. The report illustrates the various trends in both the value and volume of traditional trade instruments on SWIFT.
| Example of a key finding: The average value of a Letter of Credit is 350,000 USD and decreased by 4% over the whole period of the analysis. The average value of a Collection paid is 66,000 USD. Example of a key trend: The volume trends for both Letters of Credit and Collections paid is in decline over the period however both instruments show an increasing value trend. |
