Innovation plenary
This session will focus on “Innotribe”, SWIFT’s initiative to leverage the collective intelligence of the financial community to establish the infrastructure that will enable you to grow. We will take a close look at the changes in technology. Are ‘cloud computing’, ‘software-as-a-service’ and ‘banking-as-a-service’ just the latest buzzwords, or do they represent a fundamental shift in how we will use financial services? Where does this model work and where does it fall short? How can it help our community to further reduce total cost of ownership and get to market faster with new applications and services?
- Nicholas D. Davies, Lombard Risk
- Peter Hinssen, CEO, ACROSS
- Kosta Peric, Head of Innovation, SWIFT

The panellists will give their opinions on these topics and the debate will also be open to the audience.

Innotribe
After the break, you are all invited to one of the 3 Innotribe Labs on cloud computing. The idea is to leverage the intelligence of the crowd (crowdsourcing) to generate a set of innovative cloud ideas that could be relevant for the SWIFT community. Two labs will have a pre-defined topic; one lab will be “open” to allow for any ideas that do not fall within one of the two previous categories. Each Innotribe Lab will have a facilitator to help the participants brainstorming about the ideas. For each of the Labs, we’ll have a round-table discussion. |

1. Alliance Connect Upgrade Campaign
By the end of 2011 you will need to have upgraded your SWIFT network connectivity to one of the Alliance Connect products. This upgrade is mandatory as the current VPN boxes are reaching the end of their lifecycle. This session provides an overview of all the relevant information you need to successfully plan for this upgrade and understand the impact on your operations. |
2. Alliance Integrator
Integrator allows you to minimise the modifications required in your back-office applications to deploy business solutions over SWIFTNet, reducing the time and costs required for implementation. Through a series of case studies, we will share real-life experiences on the implementation and use of Integrator, as well as the benefits gained. Also, we will discuss new functionality delivered in Alliance Integrator 2.0, such as FileAct implementation, MT/MX interoperability and transformation capabilities, as well as further enhancements planned for 2010. |
