Reshaping business models to the changing landscape
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2009 SWIFT Business Forum in Luxembourg.
Through a series of plenary sessions, the forum will take a look at current trends and challenges in our industry and what SWIFT is doing to support the local Luxembourg community.
The changing financial landscape drives a very different economic climate. It calls for the industry to rethink existing business models and places increased emphasis on risk management, interoperability and cost reduction. To this end, the theme of this year’s forum is “Reshaping business models to the changing landscape”.
What lessons have we learned from the ongoing financial crisis, and moreover, where do we go from here? A panel of industry leaders from the local community will join Javier Perez-Tasso, Head of Western Europe, Middle East and Africa, SWIFT, for an in-depth discussion on the pressures to reduce risk and drive down cost and how product innovation, interoperability and sustainable business models are important facilitators.
