Account Closing: Scenario 4: Request for Additional Information
In this scenario, the financial institution processes the account closing and finds missing information, so it will request additional information to the organisation.
The organisation sends an AccountClosingRequest message (acmt.019.001.01) to the financial institution. The organisation stipulates in the message all the known details related to account to be closed.
The financial institution sends an AccountRequestAcknowledgement (acmt.010.001.01) message back to organisation. This message contains the acknowledgement of the received account closing message.
The financial institution needs additional information on the account being closed. An AccountClosingAdditionalInformationRequest (acmt.021.001.01) message is sent to the organisation for this.
The organisation replies on the additional information request with an AccountClosingAmendmentRequest (acmt.020.001.01) message. The financial institution verifies the AccountClosingAmendmentRequest message.
If the message passes the authentication and authorization checks, the financial institution sends an AccountRequestAcknowledgement message (acmt.010.001.01) back to organisation.
When the account has been closed, the financial institution sends an AccountReport (acmt.014.001.01) message with the actual closing date of the account.
