publications, such as the paper directories, continue to be issued on
a quarterly basis.
Please consult the publication schedule for the publication and activation dates of SWIFT Directories.
SWIFT Directories download
SWIFT Directories download is meant for integration in FIN interfaces,
back office applications, BIC Enquiry tool, and so on.
SWIFT Directories can be downloaded manually or semi-automatically.
SWIFT will allow you to ensure data integrity throughout the download process. Access the technical specifications of the integrity checks.
SWIFT Directories download is updated every month and is in line with the
information validated in the SWIFTNet FIN service.
The full files are available in several file formats. Delta files, containing
only the changes compared to the previous month, are also available
in specific file formats.
To subscribe to the product, or to register users for the download service,
go directly to the Order
Online section.
This applies to the BIC Directory, BICPlusIBAN Directory, SEPA Routing Directory, BIC Database Plus and SWIFTAlliance Bank File.
BIC Directory paper
BIC Directory paper is meant for consultation.
The Directory is printed every quarter. Interim updates are available
every month through PDF files available on the download
section
There are two types of PDF updates available: cumulative and monthly.
The cumulative update lists all changes in a cumulative manner since
the previous printed edition of BIC Directory, while the monthly PDF
update only lists the changes compared to the previous month. SWIFT
strongly advises users to download and use the updates every month,
to ensure their consultation product is up to date.
The following diagram illustrates the content of each BIC Directory
Paper along with the PDF updates available.
This also applies to the BIC Directory pocket.
BIC Search
BIC
Search is a free, web-based query tool.
BIC Search is meant for occasional consultation by individuals or corporations
that want to verify BIC information, to prepare an instruction.
The information is updated and published every month.
BIC Search contains the same information as other directory products,
but the details available for each BIC are limited to the institution
name, branch name, and address.
BIC Online Professional
BIC
Online Professional is updated every day.
Although BIC information is published and updated in bulk every month,
urgent changes or deactivations can occur every day. Those are communicated
by the means of Broadcast messages ( MT 094). BIC Online
Professional contains all the urgent changes communicated between two
BIC cycles.
In addition to the full details available for each BIC, BIC Online Professional
allows users to search the history of changes for a particular BIC or
time period. Subscribe
